Example usage of Telstra TeachADHD
-
Give the instructions as a story: An example of the instructions as a story is the user could hear about how a knight had to plug in the router correctly to save the princess. This could improve focus for the user as the instructions are given in a more engaging way.

-
Next step button: Usually when chatGPT gives instructions it will give them all at once. This feature allows the user to receive the instructions one at a time and then use the “next step” button to see the next step. This will stop the user from feeling overwhelmed by possibly dozens of steps and therefore remain focused on the task.

-
Fun facts button: The button will allow the user to hear a fun fact relevant to the current conversation or instructions. This can aid the user and it allows a break from the instructions while still drawing attention to the app. If breaks are taken away from the software the user might forget to return.

-
Reword answer button: The chat box will give the instructions in the simplest form possible but the user still might not understand. The reword button gives the same instructions worded in a different way. Through our insights we learnt that this can be useful sometimes.

-
Bell sound: When a task or instruction has finished the user will be rewarded with a bell sound. This can trigger dopamine in the user which is important to people with adhd. This works similarly to phone games with bells and sounds to keep the user engaged, this was pointed out during interviews.

-
Point system: The point system will reward the user for completed tasks or instructions. These points can be collected to be used for possible avatars, badges or even telstra products. This feature will trigger dopamine and keep the user focused.

-
Display related topics: This will keep the user engaged in the software and encourage the user to learn about other telstra products.

-
Text to voice button: This feature will create a button that allows the user to hear the instructions given by the chat box. This could benefit users with communication issues that can listen better than they can read.
